Mollie is a true pioneer in the payment industry, facilitating companies of all sizes to grow by simplifying complex financial services. We helped them to define their strategic brand positioning, followed by a rebranding.
Mollie is all about simplifying complex financial services, which leads to growth for companies of all sizes. We developed their identity based around this core concept, while staying true to Mollie’s brand values of being loved, bold and authentic.
Based on the strategic brand positioning, we positioned Mollie as Founders of Growth. And we refined their brand values, which inspired the design of their identity.
To visualize Mollie’s take on simplifying complex financial services, we used basic shapes: a circle and a square. To emphasize on transparency, we let these shapes converge and act dynamically throughout the identity.
We defined the concept of Mollie’s motion design by constructing a clear hierarchy of text, colors and graphic elements. Allowing us to create a visual system that expresses Mollie’s brand values of being loved, bold and authentic.
By combining the primary colors with digital colors, we aligned the visual identity with Mollie’s core values. The main color palette of black and white creates a bold appearance. The signature blue, along with the red, depicts authenticity. The yellow, green and purple accent colors add a friendlier tone to the identity.
